A while ago I had one of my cameras converted to only capturing infrared light. Photographing and processing infrared images can be challenging. I was lucky enough to visit the gardens at Avery Island, Louisiana, this spring and photographed this scene in infrared.
Live Oak Trees at Avery Island Infrared
Avery Island’s Jungle Gardens are planted with azaleas, Japanese camellias, hydrangeas, Louisiana irises, palms, papyrus sedges, bamboo, and wisteria. Four miles of gravel roads are lined with live oak trees and Spanish moss. There are also many walking paths. There are numerous American alligators, Louisiana black bears, and white-tailed deer also inhabit the island, in addition to coypu, North American river otters, muskrats, snakes, and other wild animals.
