This is a photo of the Original Mother Church, seat of the Christian Science Religion. In the background is the illuminated dome of the Mother Church Extension. The church property surrounds a 670 feet long reflecting pool. The original church was built in 1894 in the Romanseque Revival style and is located in Boston’s Backbay Section.

Castle Hill Lighthouse marks the entrance to the Narragansett Bay in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed in 1890 the lighthouse was built into the cliff face. The light is built out of granite and stands thirty-four feet tall.

One of Richmond, Virginia’s most famous landmark is the Jefferson Hotel. It opened in 1895. The hotel is one of 27 hotels that has a Mobil and AAA Five Star Diamond rating. A tobacco baron by the name of Lewis Ginter built the hotel. Architects Carrere and Hasting designed this magnificent place. Famous patrons include Presidents McKinley, Wilson and both Roosevelt’s. Charles Lindbergh, Dolly Parton, The Rolling Stones, and Elvis have spent time here. An urban legend states that the Grand Staircase in the lobby was featured in the classic movie Gone with the Wind. According to the hotel's manager, the author of the novel, Margaret Mitchell, stayed at the Jefferson during the time she was writing the book, thus the description and portrayal of the staircase in her novel is said to be inspired by the one in the hotel.

The Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church is also known as “Jesuit Church”. The church is located downtown New Orleans, LA and was completed in 1930. There are many stained glass windows depicting Jesuit saints. The pews are made of cast iron. Immaculate Conception church was built and designed in the Neo-Venetian Gothic style of Gothic Revival architecture, with Moorish Revival and Byzantine Revival elements.

Portland Head Light is a historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. The light station sits on a head of land at the entrance of the primary shipping channel into Portland Harbor, which is within Casco Bay in the Gulf of Maine. Completed in 1791, it is the oldest lighthouse in the state of Maine. The light station is automated, and the tower, beacon, and foghorn are maintained by the United States Coast Guard, while the former lighthouse keepers’ house is a maritime museum within Fort Williams Park.
