DeKorte Park is in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. It is strategically located in the New Jersey Meadowlands along the Atlantic Flyway. The New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (NJMC), who oversees the park, is also located here. They provide awareness of the area’s natural resources; nature trails surrounding the park; eco-tours aboard a fleet of pontoon boats. Within the park is the William D. McDowell Observatory. The observatory features a research-grade telescope that has a 20-inch mirror and is capable of viewing objects millions of light years away.
